Name: Imonoyama Nokoru (Nokoru Imonoyama to you Westerners)
Age: 12
Physical Appearance: Almost girlishly pretty for a sixth grader, with thick blond hair and earnest blue eyes framed with thick dark lashes. He doesn’t look Japanese at all. He has a very expressive face, which can go from calculating to charming to reassuring in the blink of an eye. He likes to wear outlandish clothing when the occasion demands it, and always carries a fan with trailing red tassels, where frequently writing will appear as if by magic to express what he’s thinking.
Education: As far as formal education, he’s in sixth grade. However, his intelligence is such that he’s already being headhunted by NASA, and he runs the entire electronics division of his family’s enormous business empire.
Occupation: Elementary Division Student Council President, leader of the CLAMP School Detectives, defender of ladies’ smiles!
Significant Other: None. He could never limit his devotion to a single lady.

Character Biography:

History: The youngest son of an immensely wealthy and influential family in Japan, Nokoru had a very strange childhood. His mother runs the prestigious CLAMP School and his father the Imonoyama Zaibatsu (Business Conglomeration, basically), and they were very distant, focusing exclusively on training and educating him and less on family. As a result, he tends to create families for himself. He gives the impression of being a hedonist, always shirking his responsibilities in favor of having fun, but he makes sure that what needs to get done gets done – he just often waits until the last second to do it, and he prefers that no one catch him being responsible! For that reason, no one will ever see him doing any work for the family business, and yet somehow the entire vast Electronics Division keeps running smoothly. He is JUST THAT GOOD.

One thing he inherited from his mother is her whimsical sense of humor and love of festivities. He’ll do things for no other reason than that they sound like fun, and he’s always in favor of a party, the larger and more extravagant the better!

Because of the prominence of his family, he’s been kidnapped many, many times in his life for various purposes – ransom, blackmail, even people who simply wanted his genius brain working for them. That’s why he has a bodyguard: the best bodyguard that money can’t buy. But Suoh can’t accompany him to Aternaville; somebody has to keep the Elementary Division running in his absence! He has assured Suoh that he will be perfectly safe in Canada. (Suoh doesn’t believe him, but really has no choice.)

How Others Perceive Your Character: Carefree, eccentric, charming, chivalrous, overwhelming, hedonistic

Beliefs, Convictions, Morals: Above all, Nokoru wishes to protect the happiness of ladies. He believes a woman’s smile is more important than anything, so he will drop whatever he’s doing to rush to the aid of any female if she’s having even the slightest difficulty, and he will go to any lengths to help her. He can sense a woman in distress from miles away and has the ability to do otherwise impossible things if a lady’s happiness is at stake. (Ex: He ate a literal roomful of chocolate because it was all Valentine’s Day gifts from girls at the school and he didn’t want to reject anyone’s feelings. That made him fat, but when he realized that the girls would be upset to see him get fat, he willed himself thin again.) The flip side of this remarkable talent is that he pretty much can’t ignore or refuse any woman in need. Aside from that, he just wants everyone to have fun!

Reason(s) for Escaping to Canada: An adventure! (And the Imonoyama Zaibatsu is considering establishing more of a presence in the West. And he has the overwhelming sense that there are more ladies in need in Aternaville than anywhere else presently in North America. But mostly because it's an adventure.)

3. Would they see a shrink: I would be happy to! If the psychiatrist in question is female, does she perhaps have any troubles I could assist her with?
4. Worst childhood experience I prefer to focus on the good parts. Why on earth would one choose to dwell on unhappy things?

6. Favorite song: How to Handle a Woman, from Camelot (“How to handle a woman is to love her… simply love her… merely love her…”)
7. Favorite word: 女性 (pronounced ‘josei’ – it means lady)
8. Least favorite word: Paperwork. Bleh.
9. Favorite curse word: I try not to curse. It might offend some lady’s ears!
10. Best gift ever received: Any gift I receive from the tender hands and kind affections of a lady is the most wonderful gift to me.
11. Sound or noise they hate: A woman’s tears.
12. Sound or noise they love: The bustle and hum of the Campus.
13. Do they know the answer to 64 million dollar question: Naturally!

15. Did Yoko Ono really break up the Fab Four: It’s disgraceful to try and pin the blame on poor Miss Ono, who has surely endured enough pain and hardship already due to the unfortunate circumstances of her love! A lady should never be blamed for loving.
16. Chuck Norris or Bruce Lee: Why, Takamura Suoh, of course! I’m quite certain he could outmatch either of those distinguished gentlemen with his eyes closed.
17. Half full or half empty: If it’s only half full, then it needs topping off. Will you permit me?
18. Coke or Pepsi: Nothing can be better than Akira’s milk tea.
19. If they were a Jellybean flavor, which one: I hope it would be a flavor that everyone would enjoy!
20. And, finally, if Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Although I have great respect for all beliefs, I personally believe in reincarnation, so the closest thing I know to Heaven is CLAMP Campus, which would make the Rigichou God. *innocently flips open his fan, which reads, “Blasphemy?” with a smiley face* When I return to the Campus, I hope what she will say is, “Nokoru-san, you have proven yourself worthy of this school. I know you will be the one to guide and protect it for the future.” *he considers, sliding his fan shut and resting it against his cheek. Then he smiles brightly* Or, if not that, “Nokoru-san, we are beginning preparations for a celebration” would do very nicely as well.
